Yesterday KwaMashu detectives arrested two suspects aged 20 and 40 for house robbery.
It is alleged that on 10 September 2021 at 01:40, the complainant (34) was asleep at his place of residence in E-Section in KwaMashu, when he was awaken by a knock on the door. When he opened the door he was accosted by two unknown suspects. At gunpoint he was instructed to lie down and the suspects took his TV set and fled the scene in their getaway vehicle with unknown registration plates.
A case of house robbery was opened in KwaMashu police station for further investigation. Leads were followed during a raid operation which resulted in the arrest of the suspects. The suspects are expected to appear in the Ntuzuma Magistrates‘Court on Monday, 20 September 2021. We are appealing to community members not to open their houses for strangers especially at night. They must contact the police immediately if they feel that they are attacked by criminals.
