The City of Cape Town regrets to inform residents that the Induland Drop-off site in Hanover Park has been closed due to gang violence in the vicinity.
A resident in the area was shot this morning, and tensions are heightened. Staff are understandably traumatised and worried about further incidents, and as such have been allowed to leave the site.
Trauma counselling has been offered to those affected.
