Government leads School Safety Roadshow at Jacob Marwale Primary School in Limpopo, 15 Oct

Deputy Ministers Dr Reginah Mhaule of Basic Education, John Jeffery of Justice and Constitutional Development as well as Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Pinky Kekana will lead the School Safety Roadshow at Jacob Marwale Primary School in Debeila Section, Ga–Nchabeleng in Limpopo on Friday, 15 October 2021.

The departments are once again joining forces to raise awareness about bullying, especially in schools in the second leg of the roadshow taking place Ga-Nchabeleng for the Limpopo provincial launch of the awareness campaign. The compact continues to demonstrate the complexity of the problem and the need for cooperation. Once again this shows that indeed ‘’Education is a societal issue’’, hence Government together with partners commenced the anti- bullying roadshow which is themed “School Safety – Violence, and Bullying Prevention Initiatives,”

The roadshow will see the Departments of Basic Education, Social Development, Communication and Digital Technologies, Home Affairs, Justice and Constitutional Development as well as the South African Police and other partners taking the Anti-Bullying intervention on its second roadshow since it was launched in May this year at Tshepana Primary School in Orange Farm in Gauteng.

At its core the intervention seeks to mobilise learners, parents, teachers alongside key stakeholders in promoting a safe learning environment for quality education, and galvanise constructive community involvement in schools to curb incidents of bullying and violence.
