Giyani police continue with 16 Days of Activism for no Violence Against Women and Children and Safer Festive Season campaigns

The Police in Giyani under Mopani district conducted door to door campaign as part of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children, coupled with Safer Festive Season campaign at Mapayeni village.

 

The activities were led by social crime prevention coordinator Sergeant Maluleke accompanied by Sergeant Kubaye, Sergeant Mashava, VEP and Young Civilians on Patrol members.

 

The members distributed at least 600 pamphlets and through loud hailing, community members were sensitized on the following:

 

– Child abuse

– GBV

– Report any suspicious movement

– Avoid hitchhiking

– Illegal Mining

– Rape

– Child abuse and neglect

– Sharing stockvel money and groceries

– Public drinking

 

Contact details of CSC, Station Commander and District management were shared with community members.
