George FCS unit urges public to come forward with information

George Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual offences unit (FCS) is urging the public to come forward with any information which could lead to the arrest of suspects involved in two unrelated incidents of rape reported in the Garden Route.

First incident:

Investigation into an incident reported reveals, that on Friday 5 August 2022 at 23:45 the 51-year-old victim was sitting lawn at a park situated next to Saringa Road, New Horizons (Plettenberg Bay) when two men approached her. The trio forced her to the ground and one of them raped her.

Second incident:

It is alleged that on Saturday, 24 September 2022 at about 20:00 the woman (28) was on her way home walking at Lukhanyo Street, Zone 6, Thembalethu (George) and three men approached her. One of them demanded cash and proceeded with a search. They forced her to the ground and one of them raped her. These suspects are still at large.

The investigating officer, Sergeant Daloris Damons, appeals to the public to come forward with any information which could lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of the perpetrators.
