GAUTENG – Lt Gen Mawela was joined by his Deputy Provincial Commissioners, District Commissioners (Ekurhuleni, Johannesburg, Sedibeng, Tshwane and West Rand) and other senior SAPS management this morning whereby ranks were conferred on two brigadiers and 36 colonels who were promoted during phase one of 2022/23 post promotions.
Deputy Provincial Commissioner: Corporate Services, Major General Patricia Rampota delivering the welcoming remarks during the provincial congratulatory session this morning at the SAPS Gauteng Provincial Head Office (PHO), Ubunye hall.
Lt Gen Mawela congratulated and urged the newly appointed senior and middle managers to continue to strive for service excellence.
“Be responsive and work with your communities and stakeholders. Make it your business to be known within your respective communities,” said Lt Gen Mawela.
“Serve and support your members as employee health and wellness is pivotal in creating a conducive work environment,” Lt Gen Mawela added.
“Double your effort and ensure communities are safe and feel safe. I want to see heightened police visibility across the province,” Lt Gen Mawela concluded.
