Four nabbed for tampering with infrastructure in Petrusville

KIMBERLEY – Four suspects are expected to appear in the Petrusville Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of Criminal Matters Amendment Act following their arrest on Tuesday, 26 July 2022.

The suspects were caught red-handed while they were busy loading railway tracks in a trailer near Kraankuil train station in Petrusville. Two tractors and a trailer including tools which were instrumental in the commission of crime were confiscated.

The police received a report about suspicious activities which were taking place at Kraankuil train station and upon arrival the suspects failed to give reasonable explanation for being in possession of the railway tracks.

Members of Petrusville Visible and Transnet Security collaborated to execute the arrest of the suspects.

 The investigation continues.
