Police have arrested a 60-year-old man from Manyatseng near Ladybrand for the alleged rape of his 19-year-old daughter.
It is alleged that on 15 August 2024 at about 02:45, the daughter and her father were watching television when he touched her inappropriately and allegedly went further and raped her. She reported the incident to her elder sister, who summoned the police.
The father was arrested and charged with rape. He is expected to appear before the Ladybrand Magistrate Court on Monday, 19 August 2024, facing a charge of rape.
