Fatal Altercation in Kavango East: Man Dies from Arrow Wound

TJEYE VILLAGE – A dispute at a local shebeen in the Kavango East Region resulted in the death of a 49-year-old man, who was shot in the chest with an arrow.

According to NAMPA, Deputy Commissioner Bonifatius Kanyetu, the Crime Investigation Coordinator for the region, informed Nampa that the fatal incident took place on Saturday around 7:00 PM. Maseka Florian Sihami, the deceased, was pronounced dead at the scene. The conflict between Sihami and the assailant was reportedly not their first confrontation.

The authorities notified the victim’s next of kin, and the suspect was arrested on the same day. He was scheduled for a court appearance at the Rundu Magistrate’s Court on Monday. The police are actively investigating the circumstances of the incident.
