Department of Employment and Labour launches labour centres and youth employment centre in the Eastern Cape
Employment and Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi and his Deputy Boitumelo Moloi will lead a fully-packed programme of action to advance access to service delivery.
The activity will see the Department of Employment and Labour launching two labour centres and an employment centre in the Eastern Cape.
The programme will begin on 27 June 2022 with an official opening of Mthatha Labour Centre office by the Department of Employment and Labour Director-General (DG) Thobile Lamati. The old office was closed because there were occupational health and safety (OHS) issues.
On 28 June 2022, Employment and Labour Minister, Nxesi will officially open the Butterworth Labour Centre.
The programme will conclude on 29 June 2022 with Employment and Labour Deputy Minister, Moloi launching the Youth Employment Centre in Mdantsane.
