Northern Cape unemployment insurance fund takes services to the people
To enhance services and bring the Department to residents’ doorsteps, the Northern Cape Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) will be bringing services to the people of Northern Cape over the next week.
The eight UIF mobile buses were launched the previous year (2021) by the Minister of Employment and Labour, and have since been providing services throughout the country as part of the “Taking Services to the People” campaign.
The long-awaited debut visit of the UIF mobile bus to the Northern Cape aims to reduce queues at the province’s labour centres while also providing services to those living in remote and rural areas.
The buses are accessible to people with disabilities and equipped with technology, audio, a kitchenette, workstations, generators, LED screens, air conditioning, ablution facilities, a fire extinguisher, and Wi-Fi.
