Employment and Labour hosts 2022 World Competitiveness Yearbook Survey, 21 Jun

South Africa’s competitiveness in 2022

The Department of Employment and Labour (DEL) entity tasked with promoting productivity and employment creation, Productivity SA will launch the Switzerland ‘s Institute of Management Development (IMD) ‘s 2022 World Competitiveness Yearbook Survey (WCY) next week on Tuesday 21st June 2022. The Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour, Honourable Boitumelo Moloi, will deliver the keynote address at this event.

The WCY ranking is an annual report on the competitiveness of selected countries and is recognised internationally as the leading executive opinion survey of competitiveness between nations. It rates the ability of  64 industrialised and emerging economies to create and maintain an environment that sustains the competitiveness of enterprises.  Productivity SA is the IMD partner in South Africa and helps with collation of data.

During the launch South Africa ‘s competitiveness results will be announced in the following four competitive sectors of:

Economic performance

Government efficiency

Business efficiency

Infrastructure
