Independent Electoral Commission candidates contesting municipal by-elections on 16 November 2022
One (1) municipal ward by-election will take place in Limpopo on Wednesday, 16 November 2022.
The by-election will be contested in the following ward:
Ward 01 in the Bela-Bela Municipality – LIM366, will be contested by Bianca De Lorra Ferreira Moco of the African National Congress; Hendrika Johanna Lodiwika Kruger of the Democratic Alliance (DA); Mahlomola Abram Mohlala of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and Johan Daniel Cloete of the Vryheidsfront Plus (VP).
The ward was previously represented by the Democratic Alliance (DA) and became vacant as a result of the councilor’s resignation. The voter turnout for this ward in the 2021 municipal elections was 55,97% and the DA candidate won the ward with 66,18% of the valid votes.
