The Electoral Commission of South Africa, in partnership with the University of Witwatersrand and the Wits Student Representative Council (SRC) is to launch the National Voter Registration Campaign that will be rolled out at all South Africa’s tertiary institutions.
The objective of the campaign is to encourage South Africa’s youth to take advantage of the online voter registration facility and take a step to be part of decisions about their own future.
Keynote speakers at the event include Sy Mamabolo, the Commission’s Chief Electoral Officer, Jerome September, the Dean of Student Affairs at Wits University and Ntandoyenkosi Kunene,
education activist and former Miss South Africa 2016.
Commission staff will be on hand to assist students with online registration, answer questions and demonstrate the latest digital registrations device.
