South African Police Service dignitaries together with the MEC for Community Safety and Transport Weziwe Tikana-Gxothiwe, Nelson Mandela Bay Chief of Police, Yolande Faro, the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality representative, Speaker of Council, Councillor Jonathan Lawack and officials are visiting shopping malls in Nelson Mandela Bay. MEC Tikana-Gxothiwe, during a walkabout at the Motherwell Shopping Mall, appealed to the community to work with the police and embrace partnership policing.
These visits serve as a carrier of good hopes and a commitment by the SAPS to serve and protect the communities during the festive period and beyond.
The Provincial Junior Commissioner, Ms Sachuma Morale encouraged the youth not to be involved in crime, “Do not to buy stolen goods, so that we close the market for criminals to operate”
