PHILIPPOLIS - A 24-year-old man was arrested after two stolen firearms and ammunition were recovered.
The Station Commander of Philippolis Police received information on 02 January 2023 about a man selling firearms.
The commander and her team reacted swiftly, and the 24-year-old suspect was arrested. Further information led the members to Poding tse Rolo where another man aged 35 was arrested after a rifle and a shotgun, as well as ammunition were found hidden at his house.
According to preliminary investigations, the 24-year-old suspect broke into a house and stole firearms from a locked safe. The owners of the house were on vacation.
The two suspects aged 35 and 24 were arrested for possession of suspected stolen goods, housebreaking and theft. They will appear in the Philipolis Magistrate court on 05 January 2023.
