Dtic to Host Mining Indaba Investment Forum in Cape Town

Cape Town: The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) will host the Mining Indaba Investment Forum at the Cape Town International Convention Centre in Cape Town on Tuesday, 4 February. This event will coincide with South Africa’s hosting of the Mining Indaba from 3 to 6 February.

According to South African Government News Agency, the forum will be organized in collaboration with the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources and the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation. Under the theme “An Integrated Approach to the Development of South Africa’s Critical Minerals,” the forum aims to highlight South Africa’s capabilities and infrastructure in the beneficiation of critical minerals. It will also focus on governmental initiatives supporting investments in the mining sector.

A high-level panel comprising Ministers and private sector representatives will spearhead discussions on mineral beneficiation and processing. The seminar is designed to provide a platform for dialogue on South Africa’s geological potential, policy measures, and beneficiation strategies to foster sustainable and inclusive growth. Additionally, the event will feature insights from industry leaders on investment opportunities, exploration prospects, and transformative initiatives within the mining sector.
