FREE STATE - Members of Welkom POP Reaction Team were busy monitoring the situation at JC Motumi School at Kutloanong and the residents dispersed peacefully. Members continued with Visible Policing and Vehicle patrols around Kutloanong.
The following arrests were effected, a 33-year-old man was found in possession of 7 Nyaope sachets and drugs and R110-00 cash, he was charged for dealing in drugs. Another house in K5 Section, Kutloanong was visited and a 36-year-old man was found with 15 Nyaope satchets, one Crystal Meth and R619-70 cash, he was charged with dealing in drugs.
Another male suspect aged 21 was found with 3 sachets of Nyaope and was charged for possession of drugs.
Members proceeded to Thabong, where a 57-year-old man was arrested for dealing in drugs. 10 full Mandrax, 3 quarters Mandrax, 175 pokes of dagga 1 litre of dagga, 2 black refuse plastic bags with loose dagga, the dagga weighed 5, 358 kg and cash that amounts to R500-00 were found in his possession.
We regard the seizures and arrests of these alleged drug dealers as a breakthrough, because these drugs might have landed in the hands of our future leaders. We would like to appreciate residents of both Odendaalsrus and Thabong for trusting the Police with this sensitive information of drug dealing in our residential areas says the District Commissioner of Lejweleputswa, Maj Gen Lerato Molale.
