Drug dealer nabbed in Bellair

Police officers from the Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit were patrolling the Bellair area yesterday to curb drug related cases.

 

Whilst they were patrolling, they intercepted a possible drug transaction occurring on Bankhead Road in Bellair. The suspect who was in his vehicle attempted to flee upon seeing the police officers but he was tactically stopped. A 33-year-old man was found in possession of 109 plastic packets of methcathonone and 17 pieces of rock cocaine.

 

The recovered drugs are valued R30 000-00. The suspect was arrested for possession and dealing in dagga. He is appearing in the Durban Magistrates’ Court today.
