NORTHERN CAPE - Abigail Van Wyk (22) made a brief appearance in the Mothibistad Magistrates' Court on Monday, 20 February 2023 facing charges of dealing in drugs.

Van Wyk was arrested on Friday, 17 February 2023 by the Hawks' Serious Organised Crime Investigation team after information was received regarding drugs being stored at Magojane Extension, Kuruman.

A search and seizure warrant was executed at the said address. During the search, 200 mandrax tablets, one cellphone and an undisclosed amount of money were confiscated.

The case was postponed to 27 February 2023 for formal bail application.
