DPWI Minister Sihle Zikalala to Address Key Issues at Property Sector Conference in Cape Town

Cape Town, Western Cape – Public Works and Infrastructure (DPWI) Minister, Sihle Zikalala, is scheduled to speak at the upcoming Property Sector Conference in Cape Town. This event aims to address significant challenges and strategies in the property sector.

According to South African Government News Agency, Prior to the conference, Minister Zikalala will visit several hijacked buildings in Cape Town. His address at the conference will focus on various strategies being developed by the DPWI. These include optimizing the utilization of state-owned buildings, curbing illegal occupation and building hijacking, improving energy efficiency, and reducing the reliance on private leases.

Zikalala is also expected to discuss the DPWI’s plans concerning the expanding government lease portfolio and strategies for maximizing revenue generation. Key focus areas include the transformation of the property sector and ensuring the DPWI’s partnership with the private sector in delivering quality accommodation within budget and on time.
