GAUTENG – A 22-year-old suspect was arrested during an intelligence-driven operation on Tuesday, 15 March 2022 in Riverlea for possession of drugs, an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Detectives of Organised Crime Investigations (OCI): Narcotics together with Johannesburg K9 Unit operationalised information they obtained on alleged drug dealing activities and proceeded to the identified address in Riverlea.

A search led the team to recover bags containing Dagga, Crystal Meth, Cat and Mandrax tablets. Further investigation resulted in the members also recovering an unlicensed firearm and ammuniton.

The suspect was subsequently arrested and is expected to appear before court soon.
