Deputy President David Mabuza, in his capacity as Chairperson of the Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) on COVID-19 Vaccines, will lead the “Return to Play – It’s in your hands” social mobilisation vaccination tour in Mbombela, Mpumalanga Province.
The campaign is part of the Department of Sports Arts and Culture’s (DSAC) endevour to get more South Africans vaccinated so that stadiums, theatres and concerts are opened for audiences again.
This tour is a follow-up to the national launch of the COVID-19 vaccination social mobilisation campaign on 08 September 2021.
The Inter-Ministerial Committee on COVID-19 vaccines identified Mpumalanga province as one of the provinces with fewer people being vaccinated. Deputy President Mabuza together with members of the IMC have already visited Gauteng and the North West Provinces.
