Deputy Minister of Police Mr Cassel Mathale will on Thursday, 07 October 2021, host a Crime Prevention Community Engagement in Upington in the Northern Cape Province.
The imbizo will focus on curbing the increasing acts of alcohol and drug abuse, sexual offences and other crimes plaguing the community.
As part of the South African Police Services on-going efforts to combat the continuous crimes that threaten the safety and security of communities, the community engagement, seeks to provide Upington residents with a platform to discuss and engage the SAPS on the identified crimes plaguing the community and at the same time promote and improve relations between police and the community at large.
