Deputy Minister Zizi Kodwa conducts border post inspection ahead of the presidential Imbizo in Free State.
The Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Responsible for State Security, Mr. Zizi Kodwa MP, will on Thursday, 07 April 2022 conduct an impromptu inspection of the Maseru Bridge Port of Entry.
This visit coincides with the planned Presidential Oversight Visit and Imbizo in the Mangaung District which takes place between Friday 08 and Saturday 09 April 2022.
The Maseru Bridge Port of Entry is the second busiest Port of Entry in the country which is mainly used by nationals traveling between South Africa and Lesotho for both business and private purposes.
The Deputy Minister will interact with various government officials stationed at the Port of Entry from State Security, Home Affairs, SAPS, Port Health and SARS.
The Deputy Minister will inspect the state of the infrastructure and operations, including the challenges and interventions needed to strengthen operations at the Port of Entry.
