Deputy Minister Reginah Mhaule addresses Ministerial High-Level Event on Eastern and Southern Africa Commitment on Education, Health and Well-being for Adolescents and Young People, 6 Dec

The Deputy Minister of Basic Education to deliver welcoming remarks virtually at the high-level event on Eastern and Southern Africa (ESA) inter- minsterial commitment

The Deputy Minister of Basic Education, Dr Reginah Mhaule will now deliver a welcoming address at the Ministerial High-Level Event on ESA Commitment on Education, Health and Well-being for Adolescents and Young People, virtually. The ESA Commitment high-level event is taking place virtually on the sidelines of the 2021 International Conference on Aids and Sexually Transmitted Infections in Africa (ICASA).

 

In light of the Covid 19 pandemic, the ICASA 2021 will be in a fully virtual format with all delegates joining the conference virtually and no longer in person as it was previously announced.

 

The virtual 2021 ICASA Conference will be held under the theme “Africa’s AIDS response: The race to 2030-Evidence. Scale Up. Accelerate”. ICASA is the largest HIV/AIDS Conference in Africa which tracks Africa’s progress and response in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

 

Deputy Minister will also participate in the virtual ESA Commitment session on “Reaffirmation of the ESA Commitment: Business Unusual and Accelerating progress towards Agenda 2030”. The ESA Region includes South Africa it is hosted by the United Nations Education Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
