Ayutthaya: The Department of Religious Affairs has inaugurated a leadership camp aimed at exemplary citizens within the province. The initiative, titled "Good People of the Province: Seeds of Goodness," seeks to nurture youth leaders, enhance the power of goodness, and offer broader opportunities to the community and society.

According to Thai News Agency, on August 21, 2026, the "Outstanding Provincial Citizen Youth Camp: Seeds of Goodness" project was launched at the Krungsri River Hotel in Ayutthaya Province. Organized by the Department of Religious Affairs under the Ministry of Culture, this project is part of the 2026 fiscal year initiatives. It serves as a "space of opportunity" for exemplary youth who have previously been honored with the "Outstanding Provincial Citizen" and "Outstanding Bangkok Citizen" awards. Participants from 25 central provinces and Bangkok gather here to share experiences, engage in collaborative learning, and enhance their leadership potential, teamwork abilities, creative thinking, and skills in designing activities for communal benefit.

The camp, scheduled from August 21-23, 2026, includes key activities such as volunteer training under the Royal Initiative "We Do Good with Our Hearts," relationship-building exercises with exemplary citizens, and cultural heritage education from the historical park. Additionally, the activity "Decoding Your Identity, Discovering Yourself" offers participants the chance to explore their potential, aptitudes, interests, and life goals. A Dharma activity titled "Virtue and the Gen Z Generation," led by Phra Suthi Wachirapatiphan, Assistant Abbot of Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimonmangkalaram, is also part of the program.

The Department of Religious Affairs envisions this project as the foundation for establishing a robust network of virtuous youth nationwide. These young individuals are expected to evolve into quality citizens, equipped with morality, life skills, civic responsibility, and social accountability.
