Criminals in the Western Cape are feeling the presence of police members

WESTERN CAPE - The police in the Western Cape are committed to arrest suspects and ensure that they are brought before a court of law.

On Monday, 22 August 2022, police members led an integrated intelligence driven operation and proceeded to an identified address in Philippi. Upon arrival in Springfield Road, Hanover Park, they penetrated the premises. The members confiscated underground cables with an estimated street value of R500 000-00. A 39-year-old woman was arrested and detained on charges relating to the criminal amendment act and the possession of presumed stolen property.

In an unrelated incident police members of Operation Restore conducted an integrated operation in the West Coast. They conducted intense stop and search operations and arrested three males between the ages of 35 and 43, and a female aged 50, in isolated incidents on charges of dealing in drugs.

Once charged, the suspects are expected to make their respective court appearances in the Athlone and Vredenburg Magistrate courts on the mentioned charges.
