Crime Safety Hints aired through a radio slot allocated to Polokwane police

POLOKWANE - Police in Polokwane made a presentation at Rohoboth Radio station (Christian online FM) on Tuesday, 12 April 2022 aimed to encourage the public to collaborate in the fight against crime.

The programme was presented by the Station Manager, Mr Isaac Omar jointly with the SAPS Communication Officer, Captain Lesiba Ramoshaba who sensitized listeners about numerous crimes which are prevalent in the policing precinct.

The crimes include prevention of fraud through online advertising such as purchasing of houses, motor vehicles, laptops, computers, robberies at ATM's and dangers of hitchhiking.

Captain Ramoshaba further emphasized the importance of participating in various crime prevention structures such as the Community Policing Forum (CPF), Sector Crime Forum and Business Against Crime intending to combat crime.

The contact numbers of the SAPS Acting Station Commander, Detective Services Commander, Vispol Commander and Community Service Centre (CSC) were also shared with listeners.
