Covid-19: Kenya receives more J&J, AstraZeneca vaccine doses

NAIROBI — Kenya on Monday received a consignment of 4.3 million Johnson and Johnson vaccine doses in efforts to boost the ongoing accelerated Covid-19 vaccination campaign.

The donation of the Covid-19 vaccines came from the German Government via the COVAX facility.

The doses which arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport include an additional 400,000 AstraZeneca vaccine doses from Argentina.

Receiving the vaccines, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe urged those who are yet to get vaccinated against Covid-19 to do so as the government ramps up vaccination efforts.
