Coronavirus case at Tongaat police station

KWAZULU-NATAL – All communities serviced by the Tongaat police station are advised that this police station has been temporarily closed due to a remand prisoner who was at the Tongaat Community Service Centre who tested positive for the Covid-19 virus as of this morning, 02 September 2021.

 

The Community Service Centre will now operate from the Trauma and Victim Support Centre which at the bottom of the police station for the convenience of the community.

 

To access the station, the community can call 032 944 9932 for all emergencies and complaints which will be attended to accordingly.

 

The telephone lines at Tongaat police station Community Service Centre will not be accessible for the duration of the closure. However service delivery will not be hampered.

 

The building will be decontaminated and services will resume normally at the station on a date that will be communicated later today, 02 September 2021.

 

The SAPS management apologises for any inconvenience that may arise from this.
