It is alleged that Mhlathi and Isaacs were granted bail on the 9th of July 2019 by Grahamstown High Court Eastern Cape division with bail conditions which they never complied with.

On 14 June 2022 their trial resumed before East London Regional Court 4 where the investigating officer was giving evidence for two days. During the process the Investigating Officer applied for the warrants of arrest for the four for undermining the objectives of proper functioning of the Criminal Justice System by contravening the bail conditions imposed upon them.

The four suspects will appear before East London Court A on Friday, 17 June 2022 where they will be remanded in custody to join their co-accused on 22 August 2022 for trial to continue.
