According to Thai News Agency, the attempted bombing at the new Taluban Municipal Office building took place on the night of August 22, 2026, at approximately 10:00 PM. The incident resulted in a fire and building damage. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team is currently inspecting the site to assess the situation and gather evidence. Security agencies in the area are expediting legal proceedings to restore public confidence and safety. During his visit, Lieutenant General Norathip monitored the situation, received progress reports, and offered encouragement to municipal and related officials who are on duty inspecting and securing the area. He emphasized the importance of caution and prioritizing the safety of both the public and personnel.
