On 25 October 2022, the City’s Basket of Services will be deployed at the Ravensmead Florida Sports Soccer Hall in Ravensmead from 09:00 until 15:00.
Officials from various City departments will be at the hall from 09:00 until 15:00 to assist residents with service and municipal account enquiries.
Departments to be visiting Ravensmead include:
Human Resources for enquiries about bursaries, internships and apprenticeships
Social Development
Health for more information about primary health care services
Human Settlements will assist qualifying residents with registering on the City’s housing database, and give guidance about other housing enquiries
Safety and Security will provide information about traffic and law enforcement services
EPWP will assist jobseekers and give unemployed youth an opportunity to register on the jobseekers database so that they are eligible for job opportunities that become available in their local communities.
‘The Basket of Services is one of the service delivery systems we use to ensure that we are making services accessible to as many of our residents as possible. We have a team of officials that are well equipped to assist the residents with any enquiries relating to service delivery or municipal accounts. Residents will save time and money that they would spend traveling to municipal offices. I therefore encourage residents to please take advantage of this opportunity and remember to bring their ID and/or municipal account to help ease the process,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
