MyCiTi ambassadors will be at kiosks in Mitchells Plain and Khayelitsha from 17 February 2022 to assist commuters with their myconnect cards in order for them to travel on the N2 Express services and other routes along the MyCiTi network. The City urges all commuters to please visit one of these kiosks prior to travelling to ensure that they have a working myconnect card and are informed about the arrangements pertaining to the points on their card. Everyone needs their own myconnect card loaded with Mover points or a package to travel with MyCiTi.
‘To thank our loyal passengers for their patience and to welcome new users when services resume on 19 February 2022 , we are offering limited myconnect card deals in Khayelitsha and Mitchells Plain. I would advise that residents get to either the Mitchells Plain or Khayelitsha kiosk as soon as they can to get their card sorted ahead of the time and to familiarise themselves with the service.’
‘If a commuter’s card has expired since May 2019 or will expire by May this year, they can replace it with a new card loaded with 50 Mover points – free of charge. These commuters will each get a free card to get going, and are required to present their ‘old’ card to qualify for the free replacement card. They will also be given the opportunity to apply to have their value transferred to their new replacement card if need be. New users or those who have lost their cards can also get a free card with 50 Mover points at a reduced cost of R20,’said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility Councillor Rob Quintas.
This commuter promotion is only valid between 17 February to 5 March 2022, while stocks last.
