SONA is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 9 February 2023 and the City of Cape Town will be closing some roads prior to, and on the day of SONA.

To assist with traffic flow and accommodate the State of the Nation Address, the City of Cape Town will effect road closures that will primarily be in the Central Business District (CBD).

Some of these road closures will also be in effect from Monday, 6 February to Wednesday 8 February 2023, when rehearsals for the event are held.

The road closures will affect the normal flow of traffic in and around the city bowl.

Motorists should also note that there will be restricted parking in some areas.
