City advises of water supply disruption affecting the Plattekloof 3 area

The City’s Water and Sanitation Department will be shutting off the water supply to the Plattekloof 3 area, on Thursday, 27 January 2022, from 11:00 until 15:00. The Baronetcy, Kleinmeer, Little Rock, Leopard Rock, Villa Caponero and De Plattekloof Lifestyle estates will be affected. This shut-down will enable the safe completion of upgrade work on the main water supply to the area.

The work involves cutting into the pipeline to connect a pressure reduction valve (PRV) to the water supply network.

This work forms part of the City’s Water Demand Management Strategy. Managing water pressure more effectively reduces the possibility of pipe bursts and water wastage.

Residents are advised to store water in clean sealed containers upfront for domestic use during this period and to ensure that their taps are closed to avoid water loss and/or damage when the supply is restored.

The City regrets any inconvenience caused.
