Detectives in Chris Hani District are on the hunt for suspects in two unrelated cases reported in Ngcobo on 29 August 2021 and Dalasile on 31 August 2021.
The first incident was reported on 29 August 2021 at approximately 19:00, at the Ntwashini locality Beyela a/a in Ngcobo. It is alleged that a male victim was beaten by a group of teenagers nearby the Maponya Spaza shop in Ncgobo, and succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The motive for the murder and the suspects are unknown at this stage.
In another unrelated incident reported on 31 August 2021 at approximately 03:00, Dalasile SAPS responded to a murder incident in Casa a/a Mhlontlo locality, where a 47-year-old female succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head. It is alleged that the deceased, her husband and a child were sleeping in a rondavel, when the door were kicked open by three masked unknown armed males. The deceased was shot in the head and succumbed on the scene due to her injuries. The husband and child remained unharmed and the motive for the murder is unknown at this stage.
