The Provincial Organised Crime Investigation (OCI) are appealing for assistance from the public and are offering a cash reward of R50 000-00 for information that could lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of suspects allegedly involved in a murder that took place outside a house in Jay Avenue, Clubview in King Williams Town on 9 June 2020.
It is alleged that on the mentioned date, Ms Sibahle Sowazi (35) dropped off her partner at a local restaurant and returned to her home with his vehicle, a white Audi Q7. As she got out of the vehicle to open the gate, she noticed two unknown males carrying firearms, running towards her. She immediately ran back to her vehicle however she was gunned down as she entered the car. She passed away as a result of her injuries. Nothing was taken from the vehicle. It is further alleged that Ms Sowazi was the target.
Statements from all witnesses have been obtained however efforts to trace the suspects are futile at this stage hence the cash reward is offered to any individual who can provide information that will lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of the suspects.
