In addition to the sports policy, Cabinet has also approved the Strategy for Reducing Food Losses and Waste. This strategy seeks to minimize food wastage along the supply chain, enhance food security, and mitigate environmental impacts. Regulatory measures, financial support, and incentives are part of the strategy to reduce food loss and waste.

Cabinet has also endorsed the Tourism Route Development Plan, which aims to drive inclusive growth, job creation, and poverty reduction through tourism. This plan focuses on strengthening public-private partnerships to support route development and improve South Africa’s domestic and international connectivity, with a target of achieving 15 million tourist arrivals by 2030.
