DURBAN – The complainant alleged that yesterday at 16:48, she was at a business premises on Margaret Street in Ixopo when two unknown men entered.

The men were armed with knives and demanded cash. The suspects were also joined by another three men. They took cash and fled the scene on foot. Ixopo police were alerted of the robbery and they responded swiftly. The suspects were spotted on the R612 and they fled into the bushes.

A chase ensued and two suspects aged 27 and 29 were placed under arrest. They will appear before the Ixopo Magistrate’s Court tomorrow on charges of business robbery.
