Ouagadougou: Economic operators, entrepreneurs and businessmen from Burkina Faso exchanged, yesterday Friday in Ouagadougou, with their partners from Russia on the needs and orientations for the successful conduct of the first days Economic Affairs of Burkina Faso (JEB) in Russia, scheduled for October 11 to 18, 2024 in Moscow.

‘We wanted to discuss with our partners to see the areas of the Russian side that could interest us in order to prepare ourselves well for the October meeting,’ indicated the president of the Russo-Burkinabe business and friendship club, Dr Christian Ouédraogo, Friday August 2, 2024 in Ouagadougou.

Dr Ouédraogo made these remarks on the occasion of the first round table of businessmen from Burkina Faso and Russia.

According to the president, the JEB aims to strengthen diplomatic, economic, commercial and cultural relations between Burkina Faso and the rest of the world.

Launched in 2001, the JEB connects Burkinabè entrepreneurs with those from other countries through B2B meetings,
added Dr Christian Ouédraogo.

To galvanize Russian investors to take part massively in this Moscow edition, Burkinabè businessmen, according to the president, came together to present their projects and areas of intervention to their partners.

The round table, which was held by videoconference, allowed Russian businessmen to establish contacts and gain an overview of the potential for investments and economic exchanges with the Burkinabe side.

Dr Ouédraogo concluded his remarks by inviting economic operators in his country to seize this opportunity to build business and friendship relations with their Russian colleagues with a view to relaunching Burkina’s economy.

The Russo-Burkinabe business and friendship club also plans to hold a round table in Bobo-Dioulasso with a view to mobilizing economic players from this part of the country to take part in the JEB next October.

Burkina’s economic days abroad were organized in several countries around the world including Ghana, Senegal, Benin, France, Canada, S
