Brigadier Mboyi has been in the SAPS for 30 years. Having a deep passion and strong personality are some of the traits that make her a good leader as she has been in the command position since 2012 in the various policing environments.

She previously worked in the VISPOL environment at Kagiso and Vereeniging Police Stations in the Gauteng Province and has been the station commander of The-Barrage and Boipatong Police Stations also in the Gauteng Province.

The new sheriff has landed in town and she has already made her presence felt. Because she strongly believes that police officers must be relatable to the community as Policing is not only about fighting crime but engaging with the people and that police need to work closely with communities to reach tangible results.

The Brigadier is on the move of interacting with all the role players in the fight against crime being, the Business and Farming communities, the Tribal Authorities, the Community Policing Forums, the Community Safety Forums, the Local Municipality and other several Community Structures.

She emphasises that showing compassion and having a team working spirit as a commander, will ensure that you receive positive feedback from the people you are leading. Hence, she has already put in place various programmes for the Saps members and personnel as well as the Labour Unions that will also address aspects of crime from a different approach, ensure cleanliness in and around the Police Station for a user-friendly environment for members of the community which will improve the image of the South African Police Service.

The other focus, will be on reviving all the community based crime prevention structures such as the Community Police Forums, the Sector forums, the streets committees, business against crime, the neighbourhood, etc, to enhance efficient and effective policing in the area around the clock because as a seasoned police officer who went through all the Saps ranks, she believes in a joint and integrated problem solving technic.
