POTCHEFSTROOM – On Thursday, 15 August 2019 at about 19:20, Potchefstroom police were called to an accident on the corner of Govan Mbeki and Smit Street crossing, close to the golf course entrance. Two vehicles (Bakkies) collided, namely a white Ford Ranger and a silver / grey Ford Bantam.

A 19-year-old Daniel (Niel) Grobler and a 28-year-old Jacobus (Kobus) Huyser died during this tragic accident. A case of culpable homicide was opened.
