An intelligence driven operation in Mlungisi led to the arrest of two drug dealers

An Intelligence Driven Operation held on Thursday morning, 30 September 2021 in the Aloe T locality in Mlungisi in Komani, led to the arrest of two drug dealers.

 

It is alleged that members from Crime Intelligence in co-operation with the Komani K9 unit reacted on information received and visited and searched an unnumbered premises in the Aloe T locality of Mlungisi.

 

Seventeen sachets of Tik, six full Mandrax tablets and 4 kilograms of loose dagga were confiscated and seized from the homestead. The street value of the drugs is estimated at about R78 000-00.

 

The suspects aged 28 and 29, will appear before the Queenstown Magistrates’ Court of Friday, 1 October 2021 on charges relating to dealing in drugs.

 

The Acting Chris Hani District Commissioner, Brigadier Magqashela has praised the members for their shift response which resulted in this breakthrough.
