On Wednesday, 16 March 2022 detectives of the Narcotics Unit led a joint intelligence-driven operation and arrested a 31-year-old suspect in Edenvale for dealing in and possession of dagga.

The detectives teamed up with members of West Rand K9 Unit and operationalised information on alleged drug dealing activity within the area of Edenvale. The team proceeded to the identified address of the suspect and conducted a search.

This led the members to recover dagga with an estimated value of R50 000.
