DURBAN – Operations in the fight against theft of stock are still ongoing in the province. This was followed by an operation that was carried out yesterday morning by the Amajuba Anti-Stock Theft Task Team.
The team proceeded to Utrecht where 11 sheep were reported to be stolen. The team of detectives followed all possible leads regarding the missing sheep. The information led them to Vaalbank where the stolen sheep were recovered. The recovered stock was returned to the lawful owner.
The same team proceeded to Nyanyadu in Dannhauser were 17 goats were found hidden at a farm in the area. The goats suspected to be stolen were recovered and taken to a pound. Operations are still ongoing across the province to combat stock theft. Police are still looking for the lawful owners of the recovered livestock.
