Alleged tax fraudsters issued with summons

FREE STATE – Four suspects between the ages of 47 and 60 are expected to appear before the Bloemfontein Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 31 May 2022 where they will be facing allegations of fraud and contravention of the Tax Administration Act.

A preliminary probe by the South African Revenue Services (SARS) uncovered the suspect’s fraudulent activities that cost the South Africa Revenue Services (SARS) in excess of R10 million between the period of 2006 and 2010.

The matter was reported to the Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation team based in Bloemfontein for further probe. The suspect was served with summons on Wednesday, 18 May 2022.
