In a celebratory event, Mr. Sahr Komba Sheku Ngaujah was announced as the second grand winner of Africell’s “Old is Gold” promotion. Ecstatic about his win, Mr. Ngaujah expressed his joy at receiving a Valcambi Suisse gold bar valued at over forty-six million new Leones. He shared, “I started using Africell two years after the company began operations in Sierra Leone. My SIM card is older than my first daughter. Despite losing it twice, I have always ensured to replace my special phone number.”
Mr. Ngaujah urged fellow subscribers with old SIM cards to reactivate their numbers, emphasizing that Africell has more rewards in store for loyal customers.
During the event, Africell’s Assistant Media Manager, Abdul Aziz Kamara, reiterated the company’s commitment to rewarding customer loyalty. “The ‘Old is Gold’ promotion is designed to encourage our long-standing customers to reactivate their old SIM cards. Abdul Aziz encouraged all subscribers to easily reactivate their old SIM cards by simply inserting them into any phone or by visiting an Africell point of sale (POS) nationwide.
In another award ceremony, Africell presented a prize of fifteen thousand new Leones to Abu Bakarr Bah, the monthly winner of the “Win Korpor” promotion. Mr. Bah, who has been with Africell for sixteen years, shared his excitement, saying, “Before this, I had never won any promotion, but I remained loyal to the company, and now I have been rewarded.”
He also advised potential winners to be cautious of fraudsters who may target winners of various promotions.
