Popular Democratic Movement ( PDM ) president , McHenry Venaani has called on the youth to vote for his party to end hunger , poverty and unemployment in Namibia . Venaani made the call at his party ‘ s star rally held at Otjiwarongo in the Otjozondjupa Region on Sunday . He told the more than 1 000 attendees in the DRC informal area that voting for PDM would mean economic emancipation and a brighter future for young Namibians in all 121 constituencies of the country . As Namibians across the country go to the polls on 27 November 2024 in the Presidential and National Assembly elections , they should remember to vote for PDM which has big plans to bring about clean drinking water , decent sanitation , food security and employment creation , he said . ” Namibia has vast land , more than its population . If you vote for PDM and Venaani , you will vote for one family , one residential plot ,” Venaani said . The politician stated that for those in informal areas , his party plans to aggressively transform their
areas into recognised settlements with title deeds to their names . For farmers , PDM being in leadership would mean enough water for agricultural activities and the elimination of food imports , which will in turn result in people having to rely on local food production . He said a plan for students is also in place as PDM plans to allocate fishing quotas to the students ‘ financial assistance fund , while vocational graduates will be awarded national tenders automatically to start their own businesses . Venaani went on to promise that each constituency in Namibia will have a factory for manufacturing purposes , and said his party also plans to construct 10 large sports stadiums across the country . PDM is the official opposition political party in Namibia .
